Mr Calatrava

Santiago Calatrava is one of my favourite architects and I think his work is really relevant to what i'm looking at a lot of his designs use lines which I think relate back to when I was looking at shells. But what interests me the most is how he uses shapes within his designs. Mainly triangles, being the most stable shape to repeat.

The repetition of triangles I think visually improves the structure, I like how the use of curves in his designs soften out the rigidness also. This is something to experiment with in my sketchbook.
